The UNO Physics Club will continue a proud tradition when it hosts the University's annual homage to famed theoretical physicist Albert Einstein on Friday, March 23. Physics faculty and club members will be stationed just outside the main entrance to the Earl K. Long Library between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. where students and community are invited to participate in hands-on discovery related to physics theory and applications.
Einstein Day continues later that evening with a talk by C. Gregory Seab, astrophysicist, professor and chair of UNO's Department of Physics, and an open house at the 91直播 observatory.
Seab's talk, entitled "The Story of You," traces the elements of the human body back to the origin of the universe. The talk begins at 7 p.m. and takes place in room 2120 of the Science Building. The UNO Physics Club will do another round of demonstrations for evening visitors if outdoor conditions are suitable.
The open house at the observatory follows the talk, weather permitting. The observatory can be accessed from the third floor central staircase in the Science Building.
