How do I navigate my schedule webpage to get my Zoom or video links for online events?
You will receive a link to your schedule book to your UNO email address.
*Please note that Zoom links will only be usable during scheduled Zoom meetings.
-
What do I do if I get disconnected or my power goes out?
Louisiana weather doesn't care that it's MAMBO (and neither do our internet providers)! We know tech issues sometimes happen.
Don't fret, just send an email to nse@uno.edu whenever you get a connection and we'll note your excused absence.
-
Is MAMBO online or in person?
Great question-- it's both!
Your MAMBO schedule will include an Online day, an In-person day, a Service day, and "choose your own adventure" days.
Visit the MAMBO website to view a sample schedule for your College/student type.
-
Where are my links? I haven't gotten any links yet!
Don’t you fret! Your schedule with zoom links will be emailed to your UNO email address.
If your schedule link is not there, please email nse@uno.edu.

Do I really need to do all of this?
We know that life doesn’t stop just because of MAMBO. The MAMBO schedule can seem pretty time consuming, but here are some insider tips:
• The schedule has been designed to help you prepare for the classroom and for campus life-- plan on spending those afternoons at MAMBO.
• The service day is optional but strongly encouraged; giving back is an important part of being in the New Orleans community!
• Evening activities and options for your self-guided days are up to you. Be selective in what you choose to do based on your interests and availability!
Students who attended MAMBO last year were much more successful in their first year than those who did not attend. Get your year off to a great start by attending as much as possible -
What if I have conflicts and can’t make it to everything?
Reach out to us at nse@uno.edu or contact your orientation leader once MAMBO is here.

I'm not sure how to use Zoom.
No worries! Here is a helpful tutorial for you to watch on Youtube:

I see "Please wait, the meeting host will let you in soon."
Your meeting or workshop hasn't started yet! Just hang out and the Zoom room will magically open when the host lets you in.

It says my meeting host is in another meeting.
First, check your schedule! Your zoom link probably won't work until about 10 minutes before your next meeting or activity.

Can I have a car or bicycle on campus?
As a resident, you can have a bike and/or car and park it near the halls.
Be sure to register your Vehicle and Bicycle. If you brought a bicycle to campus, register your bicycle with the Office of Residential Life.
