Anne Gisleson is the author of The Futilitarians: Our Year of Thinking, Drinking, Grieving and Reading (Little, Brown). Her publications include The Atlantic, The Smithsonian, The Los Angeles Times, Oxford American, and the anthologies Best American Nonrequired Reading, Airplane Reading and Life in the Wake. Her essays have also appeared in several books of art and photography, most recently in Akasha Rabut's Death Magick Abundance, Cheryl Gerber's Cherchez la Femme, and Anne Deleporte's Pates aux Souvenirs. She is co-founder of the New Orleans-based literary and visual arts non-profit Antenna.
