About
Elizabeth K. Jeffers, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Educational Leadership, Counseling, and Foundations at the 91Ö±²¥. She earned her doctorate in Educational Policy Studies and a post-graduate certificate in Qualitative Research from Georgia State University. For close to a decade, she taught in New Orleans public schools. In this role, she worked with community organizations that sought the return of locally governed, community-based, traditional public schools. Her interdisciplinary scholarship focuses on collaborative and ethical research methodologies, charter schools and school choice, socio-cultural and historical contexts of education, and anti-racist school leadership development. Dr. Jeffers’ work has been published in Qualitative Inquiry and the International Journal for Qualitative Studies in Education. She regularly presents her research at conferences like American Educational Research Association, American Educational Studies Association, and the International Congress for Qualitative Inquiry.
