Jennifer Batina, Academic Counselor for the College of Liberal Arts says, "Anthony has always been an integral part of the College of Liberal Arts, and frequently takes on additional duties and responsibilities. In 2014, Anthony stepped into the role of Interim Director of the Service Learning Program and helped that program get on a sustainable footing before a permanent director came in. He continues to assist them when asked, even though he doesn't get any recognition for it. This past semester, Anthony took on even more.
When I left for maternity leave in September, Anthony and Adam split my duties to make sure everything got done, but when Adam resigned in November, it was all on Anthony. He helped countless students and completed the graduation checkout, while still completing my duties and his own.
We've often teased Anthony for being a Renaissance man for all of his interesting talents and hobbies (farming, wood turning, math, music, etc.), but he really showed his versatility and dedication this semester - managing the budget, planning events, advising students, completing graduation checkout, overseeing the front office staff, and more. On top of all of this, he also graduated from the MPA program this semester, an outstanding feat on it's own. I can't imagine that anyone deserves this honor more than Anthony."
