Dr. Elaine Brooks, Director of Interdisciplinary Studies says, "On the UNO campus many people know that Dan is the go-to man. His expertise on all advising matters is legendary. I depend on Dan in so many ways with regard to UNO policies and advising changes. Dan serves on the Advisory Council and his decision-making roles on that Council are integral for better efficiency when working with students.

He is a wonderful team member , and is more than well liked by the student workers and staff members he supervises. He is embraced by all as a kind, and extremely dependable force in our offices."
