Pre-CPA Program
UNO's Accounting Department provides a CPA preparation program to enable individuals who have degrees in areas other than accounting to obtain the necessary course work to qualify to take the CPA exam. The program requires 27 hours of accounting courses and 24 hours of business courses.

- Accounting 2100 - Principles of Accounting
- Accounting 3121 - Intermediate Accounting I
- Accounting 3122 - Intermediate Accounting II
- Accounting 3131 - Managerial Accounting I
- Accounting 3152 - Tax Accounting I
- Accounting 3161 - Auditing and Professional Accounting
- Accounting Electives: 9 credit hours

Accounting Electives Under the Pre-CPA Program
Three semester hours must be taken from one of the following classes:
- Accounting 3123 - Advanced Financial Accounting
- Accounting 3124 - Not-For-Profit Accounting/Auditing
- Accounting 6125 - Accounting Theory

In addition, 6 semester hours in accounting above the basic and beyond the elementary level is required. (Accounting 4152 is strongly recommended.) Available elective courses to consider are:
