Undergraduate Program
Bachelor of Arts in Film and Theatre
From faculty to students, we are filmmakers and theatre makers. As a filmmaker you will have a camera in your hands during the 1st year of school, and you will have the opportunity to work on as many productions as you have time for. Our thriving graduate film program produces multiple short films every semester, and undergrads are encouraged to participate as cast and crew. We have one of the most technologically advanced film programs in the country, with 4K digital cameras, a full complement of lighting gear, a grip truck, 4K digital post-production editing, high-end audio and color correction suites, and a fully-equipped soundstage. Our program isn鈥檛 just theoretical, it鈥檚 practical!
The theatre program offers an in-depth, liberal arts experience as it trains students in the disciplines of acting, directing, and design. We strive to foster creativity, imagination and investigative thinking, as we prepare students to enter today鈥檚 multi-faceted performing arts markets. Our courses combine experiential learning with theoretical studies. Award winning faculty challenge students by exploring a wide range of theory and technique both through studio and publicly presented productions. We offer professional level training for students to enter and thrive as relevant theatre makers.
The Department of Film and Theatre houses a Bachelor of Arts degree where students can choose from two courses for study: Film Arts or Theatre Arts. The Bachelor of Arts Degree is a four-year/120 credit hour degree designed to prepare students for entry in to the fields of film, theatre and creative writing, and as a foundation for future graduate study.
