Internships
In addition to providing students with opportunities to conduct research as undergraduates, the Department of Chemistry also has internships for students who want to use their skills in applied settings. Internships are designed to provide practical hands-on laboratory or workplace experience in Chemistry.
Course Credit for Internships
Internship students have the opportunity to enroll in CHEM 3091: Chemistry Internship. This course requires a commitment of a minimum of 3 contact hours per credit hour per week at the off-campus site. CHEM 3091 may be used for university general elective credit, and can be taken multiple times for a maximum of 9 credit hours.

Obtaining Internships
In order to obtain an internship in Chemistry, students mus through the department. The department will review applications completed by interested students and make a recommendation to the internship site supervisor.
