Accuplacer Next Generation Test
The Accuplacer Test is a series of untimed tests that evaluate students’ skills in reading, writing, and math. These tests are required for admitted students who have not submitted test scores in order to properly place them in English and math coursework.
IN-PERSON Accuplacer tests for admitted students are available in the UNO Library on the following dates (sign-up not required): Thursday, November 7th at 1 pm, Wednesday, November 20th at 10 am, Thursday, December 12th at 10 am and Wednesday, December 18th at 1 pm. A valid ID and/or student ID must be presented. For driving directions, please . We have also attached a campus map here. Please park in our gated visitor lot which is in between buildings 8, 10, and 11 on the campus map.
VIRTUAL Accuplacer tests are available for students who do not live within 50 miles of the UNO campus. Click below to register.
Contact accuplacer@uno.edu with any questions.
Students who are applying to/are accepted to other institutions should contact those schools for instructions on signing up for an Accuplacer exam.
Requirements
The test taker will be required to present a valid, unexpired photo ID (ex. government-issued driver's license, state identification card, or passport.)
Scores
A test taker must score 278 or higher on the Math section also known as QRAS, to then qualify for the AAF. When you reach that score, the AAF automatically begins/launches in the test session. When finished testing, the test taker will have generated both a QRAS score and an AAF score in the report.
UNO will record each test result for the purposes of advising. Results may be downloaded or printed following the test, or a copy can be emailed upon request.
Retest Policy
The ACCUPLACER test can be taken a total of three times within a 30 day period starting with the first test attempt.
