The 91直播 Department of Management and Marketing will host its annual Management Week from March 6-9, 2018. Business leaders from across the region will visit regularly scheduled classes in the College of Business Administration over several days to share their stories and insights with current students.
"We are very excited about our featured speakers for Management Week," said Pamela Kennett-Hensel, chair of UNO's management and marketing department. "The stories we hear firsthand from our guests complement classroom instruction by connecting the concepts we discuss in class to the real-world experiences of running a business."
Marketing Week's keynote address will feature Jay Cicero and Jeff Rossi of the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation, a nonprofit organization whose mission is attracting and managing sporting events in the greater New Orleans area. According to its website, the foundation's work has generated an economic impact of $2 billion since 1998, benefitting state and local coffers, the hospitality industry, youth organizations and recreational facilities in the region. Cicero is president and CEO, and Rossi - a UNO alumnus - is senior vice president for event sales. Their presentation takes place Tuesday, March 6 at 12:30 p.m. in room 122 of Kirschman Hall.
Other scheduled guest speakers include Creole Cuisine Restaurant Concepts director of human resources Philip Lenz, Ocean Steamship Agency president and CEO Bob Vaughn, Hands On New Orleans executive director Christopher Cameron, Ocean Steamship Agency president and CEO Bob Vaughn, Ballard Brands PJ's franchise development director Ryan Stansbury, RiverLand Federal Credit Union vice president of IT George W.
