Are you a Louisiana teacher seeking great summer professional development in the areas of math and science?
Louisiana teachers receive stipends of $25 per hour for their participation in the program, which packs six-hour days with interactive content and pedagogy instruction.Unlike in past summers, these institutes are restricted to only the summer and includes no additional Saturdays during the fall or spring.
The institutes are sponsored bythe Louisiana Board of Regents' Louisiana Systemic Initiatives Program (LaSIP), which funds university-based professional development projects for elementary and high school teachers.
Those eligible may register forone or both of the institutes this summer:
* The Mathematics Institute, June 4-15, is open to teachers in grades 3-8 and will focus on geometry and measurement.
