When the prestigious kicks off its 20th anniversary celebration this summer in New York City, a film produced by two 91直播 alumni will be among the offerings during the 12-day multi-screen outdoor event.
Tribeca, founded by actor Robert DeNiro, is one of the largest and most renowned film festivals in the nation.
For two decades, Tribeca has showcased storytellers from around the world who have used art to inspire positive change and introduced audiences to new forms of storytelling, according to the festival鈥檚 website.
Lizzy Guitreau, who earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in 2014, and Robert Todd Campbell, who earned an MFA in 2009, are producers on the film, The film premieres outdoors on June 12.
The drama centers around a woman named Ivy, a singer who is struggling to establish herself while bouncing around various New Orleans lounges and bars. The character also battles her physical insecurities and succumbs to a debilitating eating disorder.
According to the film鈥檚 descriptive summary, 鈥渒eeping her battles a secret has its consequences. Ivy is now transforming into something nightmarish.鈥
The feature also will be part of the Tribeca-at-home virtual experience and will be available for viewing on June 13.
