Theatre UNO presents William Shakespeare’s “Romeo & Juliet,” as the final show of the 2021-22 season at the Robert E. Nims Theatre on the 91ֱ campus. The show will run Friday, April 29th through Saturday, May 7th inside the Performing Arts Center.
One of the best known love stories for generations, this version of William Shakespeare’s classic “Romeo & Juliet” revives the feuding families of Verona and breathes new life into this eternally star-crossed love story.
Graduate students Michael Civitano and Alexandria Miles take on the roles of “Romeo & Juliet” with an engaging tenderness that draws the audience in from the first kiss until their final breaths.
The casting of the show reflects the unique student acting population at 91ֱ, and many of those cast have been able to take on multiple roles.
With fight choreography by Drew Stroud, this production challenges several of the actors with live sword-play. Dance choreography by actor Aaron Brewer livens up the Capulet party and brings a bit of the old world back to the stage.
